You heard me. This 4 foot by 5.5 foot canvas houses a unique spin on the beloved pioneer of television communication: Fred Rogers.
The acrylic paint piece features the man himself, talking a selfie with the trolly, Daniel the Lion, and King Friday XIII.
I've been asked before why I frame my paintings the way that I do; everything sort of shoved to the bottom. And the truth is pretty simple: that's how my mind prefers things to be framed. It must be the filmmaker in me too. Having an illustration or a painting that feels too busy by consuming all possible space seems like a cardinal creative sin to me.
And so, my paintings are left to feel like they just happened to pop up the bottom of the frame, just in time to be a part of the show!
