CORVALLIS, MONTANA

“Jen Kozeliski Memorial ” Mural

In the small town of Corvallis, Montana, Corvallis Primary school has a 90-foot wall that houses a new mural every 30-years or so. Last year, Jen Kozeliski passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind her art and the love in her community’s hearts.

This mural design is split into three specific sections– one for the students, one for Jen, and one for the teachers. Since this hallway is the main hallway connecting, inclusion of everyone in the school seemed important. The bear, bee, and flowers are for the kiddos. The compartmentalized section houses Jen’s art and various Montanan tropes. The darker section with more foliage and flowers is an “oasis” for the teachers.

There were over 450 volunteers on this mural.
